MACACO WRITES AND PLAYS TOGETHER WITH YOUSSOU N’DOUR & OUMOU SANGARÉ “ONE STEP”, SOUNDTRACK FOR THE “SHOE AID FOR AFRICA” CAMPAIGN
Macaco is teaming up with Youssou N’Dour and Oumou Sangaré –two world-class artists– in a song titled “One Step” which will be the soundtrack for the “Shoe Aid For Africa” solidarity campaign. The track, written by Dani Macaco and produced by his usual partners Jules Bikôkô and Roger “Ferrero” Rodès, is a song of hope to the rhythm of reggae and featuring lyrics in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Wólof, and Bambara, aiming to become a new anthem in the wake of “Con la Mano Levantá” (With the Hand Up In The Air), “Moving” or “Mensajes del Agua” (Messages from the Water).
In addition to the Senegalese singer and the Malian great diva, we can find another celebrated name; Samuel Eto’o, who is taking part in the video-clip of the song, a truly amazing audiovisual little wonder that you can see at the following link.
In fact, the Cameroonian footballer/soccer player superstar is the official patron supporting this project which, since it first started last October, has already managed to collect over half a million pairs of shoes bound for African countries.
